Project Description:
This remodel consisted of tearing down much of the existing interior ceiling and walls. The ceilings were vaulted and a new fireplace was added as a centerpiece of the room. Rough sawn cedar was used as an accent to help reflect its rural surroundings. New kitchen cabinets and granite countertops were added along with a unique wagon wheel pot hanging system. The new flooring consisted of hand scraped wood flooring in the living areas and slate tile in the kitchen. All this resulted in a more open and functional design that the homeowners were looking for.

Trend 1: Tile Style
Ceramic is and always will be a popular material, and, with the influx of products from Spain and Italy, there are now a lot more stylish offerings. The hottest of all is glass because of its translucent and iridescent qualities. Glass tile can be used all by itself or pair with ceramic for a dramatic effect. |
